6 September 2007: Report of UN Press Conference with Indigenous leaders.

30 August 2007: After 8 months of consultations among some member states and leaders of the Global Indigenous Peoples's Caucus, a slightly revised text of the Declaration has been disseminated for approval of Indigenous peoples. Deadline for their comments is 4 September 2007 as vote or decision in General Assembly must take place before weekend of 14 September.

20 December 2006: General Assembly Plenary Defers Action on Indigenous Peoples’ Declaration

28 November 2006: GA Third Committee votes to defer action on Declaration

29 June 2006: Human Rights Council adopts Resolution on Declaration on Rights of Indigenous Peoples
